In this post I’ll show you some newspaper designs that are great in my opinion. Also, there’s a great video from the TED Talks by Jacek Utko on how design can save newspapers.<\/h3>\n

Die Presse am Sonntag<\/h3>\n

I’m Austrian, therefore it’s pretty normal to subscribe to an Austrian newspaper. “Die Presse am Sonntag ” is the sunday edition of the daily paper “Die Presse”.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

They have a great layout and quality journalism, but the sunday edition is even better designed:<\/p>\n

Circulation: about 270.000<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hartford Courant<\/h3>\n

Since many years the Hartford Courant is constantly among the world’s best designed newspapers. I think that especially the typography is awesome.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Rzeczpospolita<\/h3>\n

The Rzeczpospolita won an award at the 27th competition of newspaper design of the SND (Society of Newspaper Design). In my opinion this newspaper really deserved this award, although the whole design’s quite conservatie and traditional.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A very new (launched in 2007), clear structured magazine.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Chicago Sun-Times<\/h3>\n

The redesigned look of a popular daily paper in Chicago. In my opinion, the standard of the content is debatable, the design isn’t.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There’s nothing to say about this design, except: Absolutely awesome.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
