In this post I’ll show you some newspaper designs that are great in my opinion. Also, there’s a great video from the TED Talks by Jacek Utko on how design can save newspapers.

Die Presse am Sonntag
I’m Austrian, therefore it’s pretty normal to subscribe to an Austrian newspaper. “Die Presse am Sonntag ” is the sunday edition of the daily paper “Die Presse”.
They have a great layout and quality journalism, but the sunday edition is even better designed:

Circulation: about 270.000
Hartford Courant
Since many years the Hartford Courant is constantly among the world’s best designed newspapers. I think that especially the typography is awesome.
Country: USA
Circulation: about 250.000
